MRD / MRE ball mill - GEBR.PFEIFFER

Sans titre-1

Tried and tested mills since 1864

Hundreds of Gebr. Pfeiffer ball mills are in operation around the world, tailored to individual customer requirements: employees of Gebr. Pfeiffer have been responsible for designing, manufacturing and assembling for more than 100 years. Ball mill, the ideal machine for the preparation of hard materials and especially very abrasive materials.

Principle of operation

The mill is fed with the material to be ground by one or two whirlpools. Material is crushed by means of impact and friction. Material is then removed through the slots placed around the periphery of the mill tube. Substance is then discharged through the slots in the periphery of the mill tube, which can be discharged by means of a discharge wall or a whirlpool.

Grain size of the product is therefore influenced by the action and adjustment of the slots or the discharge wall. It may be that the grinding is in a closed circuit, then the fineness of the final product will be established at the separator. If the grinding is coarse by the installation of a downstream sieve, then the fineness of the final product is preselected by the sieve mesh.

Benefits

Adjustable particle size distribution

The fineness of the finished product and the particle size distribution are adjustable:
open-circuit grinding by means of peripheral removal of the product, in the case of closed-circuit grinding by means of the high-performance separator.

Maximum availability

Simple and rigid construction together with the wear-resistant shielding guarantees a minimum of maintenance.
