Cable transfer system — WESSJOHANN

Plan de travail 1 (5)

Wessjohann cable transfer system ensures the closed and controlled conveyance of synthetic fibres, powders and granules from the dosing unit to the mixer or scale. The completely sealed circuit eliminates material loss and dispersion in the workshop, which are common problems with pneumatic solutions (Venturi effect).

Principle of operation

Spaced discs driven by a cable circulate in a closed tubular conduit to transfer the product cleanly. The routes are designed with feed and discharge points depending on the layout. The result: clean, quiet, energy-efficient and gentle handling of products.

Target applications

  • Synthetic fibres (e.g. Syntec, Mapefibres NS6, MasterFiber 12, Fibrofor Multi) for concrete and mortar; powders and aggregates.

  • Industries: concrete and precast elements, agri-food, chemicals, recycling, minerals.

  • Zero loss and cleanliness: sealed circuit up to the point of introduction; no spillage at the outlet as with pneumatic transport.
  • Process quality: gentle transport (low abrasion/breakage), increased dosing accuracy, quick product changes.
  • Simple integration: compact, quiet, 3D-adaptable routes, low operating/energy costs.
  • Compliance & hygiene: components in contact with foodstuffs comply with EU directives; ATEX versions for zones 20–22 available (chain tube)
  • Pipe diameters: from 60 mm to 300 mm (standard BSC range); Wessjohann also offers 63 mm depending on the project.

  • Conveyor speed: up to 23 m/min (depending on configuration).

  • Drive: friction wheel at the heart of the system; new 2K wheel (stainless steel/PU) for efficient transmission, reduced wear and quiet operation.

  • Modular design: customised components, easy extensions/conversions, installation in confined spaces up to 200 m.

  • Demoulding, distribution screw (several geometries), adjustable speed via variable speed drive.

  • Cleaning adapted to products and hygiene requirements, integrated from the design stage.

Laboratory material testing, dimensioning, 3D plans, assembly, commissioning, maintenance and extensions: support throughout the entire life cycle.

  • Product: synthetic fibres for concrete

  • Start: fibre dosing unit – end: mixer/balance

  • Conduit: stainless steel tube Ø 60 mm to 300 mm

  • Drive: friction wheel, variable speed motor

  • Hygiene/ATEX: if required, food contact versions and ATEX versions (zones 20–22, chain tube)

  • Cleaning: brushing/wiping according to factory protocol
